Rosa, I'm glad the question series was of value to you in posing some great questions! But here's one back to you... how did you do that with the photo?

Aloha Joanna! Your series is really wonderful, and in your last posting your very first sentence captured all my attention in the biggest way... "Questions don't work in isolation: they work in context."
About your photo: I loved it so much I admit that I immediately looked first to see if you were sharing it with a CC-license (mahalo!) Then, I
- downloaded it from the Flickr all sizes page to get the "original" option there
- opened it up in Picasa and cropped it for that inside zoom
- played with editing. Not sure of all the steps, for it was truly a moment of deliciously fun play, but I do know I ended with giving it the "glow effect" around the edges that Picasa offers.
I hope you like it! Your original was so, so lovely that it became another way that you and I could connect (one of my favorite things to do :)
