Right now I am reading 2 books: GTD by David Allen and H.I.M.M. by Lisa Haneberg. Those are "educational/business" books. I love reading, but find that I go in spurts.
Taking vacations always "introduces" me back to the enjoyment of "recreational reading". When I was on our 10 year anniversary in your great state a few years back, I think I read 4 books on the beach purely for fun.
Rosa, I have yours next in line and can't wait for the educational/pleasure of reading your words.
If I didn't spend as much time blogging as I do, I'd probably read more!

I choose books mainly based upon referrals. I used to love Harvard Business Review referrals - but the mag became too expensive. Fast Company is a good source. I am learning that blog referrals are most excellent.
Another source of referrals can be found at Amazon.com. They are found under the heading of Other people who bought such and such, also bought...
E-bay is a good place to buy books. I have come across a few collectables cheap.
Borders is my physical bookstore of choice. I will purchase based upon jacket information occasionally. When we vacation I usually look for small independent bookstores and browse as long as I can get away with.
I also use scouts. Family members go to the Salvation Army stores or garage sales are always on the lookout for books on business and writing. My Dad picked up a book for .99 (The Book of Business Wisdom) and it was still on Borders shelves for full price. Rosemary and I found an old farmer and his wife had two barns full of old books. They used to buy them wholesale with the intention of opening a bookstore. They never did. We bought boxes and boxes.
My favorite books are on marketing and writing. Leadership and management follow. We own every book Stephen King and Dean R. Koontz have written - I am about five books behind on each.
Rosemary has been tied up with work so I'll tell you her gig. She is a voracious horror story and suspense paperback reader. She has without fail, been reading 30 to 40 books a year since 1975. She buys ten at a time from a place that sells used paperbacks. When she finishes the ten she takes em back and gets 10 more - with the exception of King and Koontz - we keep them.
Thats it.
