Say Leadership Coaching is six years old as a company. We are also brand new, just like you.
SLC was founded in 2004 as the teaching and business arm of the Managing with Aloha management and leadership philosophy, first created as MWA (for short) by Rosa Say in 1990 when she was an executive in the resort hospitality business. We’ve had fourteen years of experience coaching managers, advising executives and business owners, and teaching workshops aimed at significantly improving workplace health and profitability. We feel good about the results we have helped you achieve in diverse industries and business disciplines.
However no one can rest on their laurels. Not us, not you. Not ever, and especially not now.
As you know, the past few years have brought significant social, generational and economic change to workplaces: We’ve all scrambled to adjust as the U.S. credit crunch ending 2007 become a full financial meltdown by the middle of 2008, and then turned into a global recession we’ve yet to see end. We’ve coached managers in the ‘before’ and ‘during’ of this recession, and business models are still changing. They must. Businesses everywhere, and in every industry, still seek the winning formula which will get them prosperous again, and feeling healthy and optimistic.
We feel your sense of urgency. We have it too
We’ve become “brand new” in that we work with you in an entirely new way in 2010, adjusting our own business model to better serve your needs. We work to give you the benefit of our coaching experience as we’ve always done, but we now take full advantage of the economies we can pass on to you, using methods we’ve learned as early adopters and users of web-based technologies and social media.
In brief, less in person, where costs in travel and time get added for both of us, and more via the telephone, or using Skype and other interactive web-based learning environments. We’ve created more in performance product you can quickly weave into your day to day work (such as our $5 e-book series on the Daily 5 Minutes®), while streamlining the services which previously had a longer term learning plan in our Workplace Aloha School.
We can still do in-person workshops if you wish us to do so (we love them!) and Rosa still delivers the animated, passionately energetic keynote presentations she’s become known for. We still offer the workplace school we call MWA University, and the popular ‘Ohana in Business® MWA3P business modeling program. However you have more ways to work with us today than ever before, and you’ll find they’re much more affordable, priced to smoothly fit into the business model you are newly developing.
We’re steadfast in our vision and values
We want to partner with you to mentor a generation of managers in a role newly designed for the pressing needs of our workplaces: We are resolute in believing that managers are all-important in business models, including yours, and even if you are a solopreneur, and that manager and emerging leader is just you. We still call ourselves coaches and not consultants, because we teach you what we know versus selling you answers you cannot duplicate or adapt for your own workplace.
The first step is realizing that it is okay to get help. Beyond “okay,” it is the smart thing to do. Businesses are feeling a lot of pressure to do all their training, coaching, and mentoring in-house as the conventional, or “obvious” way to keep costs down, but is it? You can’t do everything, being a jack of all trades and master of none, and pulling time away from the core competencies of the mission-critical work of your business vision, and signature. Let us help, partnering your expertise with ours.
Give us a call or send us an email to schedule one
It’s the best way to start, and there is no charge for your first coaching call. We’re for hire, but we’re here to serve you, not sell you, and we know the difference. It is our own signature of Aloha.
Email us with your Skype contact information, or call (808) 883.9122 between 9am and 4pm Hawai‘i time so we can learn more about what you’re looking for help with. We’ll match your budget with the best possible options we have for you.
In other words, brief us on your “what I need” and in turn, we’ll talk to you about your options in our “how we’ll help” you. As a short listing of examples you’ll be able to choose from within the “new” SLC:
— singular 45-minute coaching calls as responsiveness coaching, only scheduled when you say you need them and for as little as $75.00 [$U.S.]
— monthly coaching programs designed as set-fee schedules, which can be done with Skype or phone calls, via email, or in interactive web software wikis
— one-on-one, team (we recommend 5-7 person team dynamics), or group options
— the Lōkahi Lesson of the Six Seats® coaching environment for project teams
— curriculum choices within our 2010 Role of the Manager Reconstruction, Supervisors Jumpstart, or MWA Workplace Aloha Schoolyard
— full immersion retreats offered by MWA University and personally taught by Rosa Say
— the Kākou Communications Plan® for conversational breakthrough management. Within our Writing with Aloha product line we offer an intranet reinvention, an e-letter value of the month program, and the ‘Ohana Mālama® weekly huddles
— and much more:
