What this is all about
Managing with Aloha Coaching is a blog written by me, Workplace Aloha Coach Rosa Say. The blog is published by Ho'ohana Publishing to further support the Managing with Aloha workplace movement: My objective is to present MWAC as a resource and real-time companion to those who have purchased my book, and are inspired and ready to take action, improving the quality of their work with the help of my virtual coaching.
This past December, I designed a template I call the 5-Beat Rhythm to help the readers of Managing with Aloha Coaching develop a month-by-month habit of self-discipline in applying my Value of the Month program, presenting it to my MWAC readers as a holiday gift. I am extremely grateful that you feel inspired by my work to make a difference in your own part of the world, for Aloha is something we all share. I want to help you as I can.
As we worked with the 5-Beat Rhythm in the months which have followed, I have encouraged readers to email me as they work through it, and your response has been wonderfully encouraging. I am a management and leadership coach by profession, and I started to receive inquiries for an affordable mini coaching module that people could purchase during any month the value we are studying was particularly appealing to them: Could I take a comprehensive look at their 5-Beat Rhythm, and respond with my personalized coaching for them?
The answer is yes!
The cost is $99 US (with other currency options via Paypal) or $149 to include a coaching call via Skype (or a phone call on your dime - I am on the Big Island of Hawaii).
My value? My normal executive coaching rate is fifteen hundred dollars per month. I can do this for you at this lower rate because of the online efficiencies that our MWAC monthly program gives me: Your program is personalized, but it is highly focused for me, especially since my blog posts on our chosen value of the month are largely pre-written and already queued up for their publishing dates in the coming month. Quantity helps in the parts that I duplicate with template design and my coaching structure, so please spread the word and help us both if you would like me to keep doing this!
This is a first for MWAC (not for me... I'm an experienced coach :) and I am only guaranteeing the program at these prices for this current test run which we started in February, 2008. That's another reason the prices are so much lower — you are testing the program with me, and that should count for something, right?
If you think you may be interested, please keep reading.
If not, do keep this in mind for the future, for it may work for you later, and with another value that you feel is more relevant to your own work: There is a 7-day sign-up window each month the program is offered. Meanwhile, I encourage you to try the free version we do every month on your own (it has been updated here).
Just one more thing:
How much time should you expect to invest in this in addition to the time you put in reading the MWAC blog?
Think of it as a lengthy email conversation that you begin and I finish in response, ending up in personalized coaching for you. Read through the 5 Steps below before you hit the Paypal buttons, for the full explanation is here, and not at Paypal.
Ready? Great!
This month's featured program:
April 2008: Personal Coaching on Mālama, the Hawaiian value of Caring and Stewardship
Sign-ups will begin April 2nd and accepted through April 9th, 2008.
Thereafter we will resume with a new value on May 1st.
Your coach: Rosa Say, author of Managing with Aloha Coaching, and the book:
Managing with Aloha, Bringing Hawaii's Universal Values to the Art of Business
Here are the details of the Coaching Program:
Step 1: These buttons will take you to Paypal:
Make your payment for $99 (email program only) --- Click the "Buy Now" Button.
OR $149 (with the Skype call option) --- Click the "Pay Now" Button.
Step 2: Email me via the email address you wish to correspond with.
- I will respond back with my first email of the program, which will have a special write-in form of the 5 Beat Rhythm Template
that we'll be working with. You will see that I've added
to the free template available on the blog, explaining how you should
continue to use it through-out the month. After all, you are paying for
this now!
- I will send you a pdf of the Chapters on Mālama AND on Ho'ohana.
Even if you already have my book you will want to print these out, for
I am going to take you through a highlighter exercise that will greatly
help us both with your coaching (and give you the added value of a mini
lesson on how I use the book with my coaching clients.)
- My promise: I will honor
your privacy, and not use your email address for any other purpose or
marketing campaign (that's what my blogs and newsletter are for). If you are not satisfied with the coaching, you get your money back.
Step 3: Read the Day One Essay on Mālama. Then do the Beat 1 Exercise of the template, inserting your answers to the questions in the write-in form I had emailed you in Step 2. Email it to me when you are done.
Step 4: I will send an email back to you with your personalized coaching. When I get your Step 3 email I will answer back within 24 hours, letting you know how much time I will need (since the number of responses each month can vary, depending upon the value we are studying.) The response you get back from me will be about the length of one of my blog posts you regularly read on MWAC.
Step 5: The last step is for either (depending on which you purchased):
- One more round of emails between us should you need more clarity on anything in my response to you. Currently, you might decide you want to use Step 5 for your personal questions on Brex, or on The Role of the Manager Reconstructed, two other recent MWAC learning initiatives. That will be fine by me.
- OR a 45-minute Skype call if you chose the $149 option. The big benefit to Skype is conversation, for we can always cover more that way than via email, and with instant opportunity for optimal clarity.
Easy! However workplace coaching is what I have done for a very long time now, and I am very sure it will be highly effective for you.
To anticipate another question or three (If you have more, ask in the comments, others may be wondering too):
- Is this just for managers?
No, this is for everyone who reads Managing with Aloha and Managing with Aloha Coaching. - Will I still have to read the blog this month?
You will get way, way more out of this program if you do! - Does this mean I can't send you emails anymore?
Oh no, it doesn't mean that at all! I want your comments on the blog and your emails, and I welcome them!
I hope to hear from you, coaching is what I love to do — it is my Ho'ohana!
~ Rosa

Update:
Thank you so, so much for your quick, very favorable responses and questions with my test run of this - wow!
In the spirit of Kākou, communicating and collaborating with the Language of We — I am using today for a further, final refinement of the template we will use in the program. If you decide to sign up today, please be aware that the earliest I will respond to your email will be after 5pm Hawai'i time today. ~ Mahalo nui loa.

The revised, value-added template for our new program is done, and several people are already off and running with it!
I have made this one change: You will get Beats 1-3 of the new, value-added template in the first email you get from me, and I will send you Beats 4-5 when I respond at the beginning of Step 4 (i.e. within that 24 period I mention, and before you receive your personalized coaching back.)
Thank you again to those of you who have written to me in the past few days. Your emails were invaluable in the polishing up of the new template, and it is terrific: I will be sending a PDF of the new template to everyone who has sent me an email up to it being finalized, whether or not you decided to purchase the coaching itself.
So far it looks like this program will be a definite keeper :)
Ho‘ohana,
Rosa
