Steve Sherlock

Rosa, I look forward to next Sunday for a number of reasons, the newest being your new initiative. It will make Sunday all that more special!

Rosa Say

Thank you Steve! I so appreciate your affirming encouragement, mahalo for sharing your aloha with me.

I already have some terrific finds in the queue, and had to practice some self-restraint in writing this introduction and holding on to them! However as so often happens, I trust that the days between now and next Sunday will prove to be a good editor :-)

I am so very excited about the direction of this new site. What a wonderful Sunday edition.

Thank you so much for sharing your family stories and picture. I particularly enjoyed reading about your dad.

Mahalo April, please know that your reading and supportive voice spurs me on. There is an element of doing this for self in this too, for I find that when I Mālama I am better; more whole and complete, and with greater reserves to draw from. That is what I am hoping Sunday will be for all of us. I had done a variety of things over the weekends on my Talking Story site previously, but this feels like finally arriving where I need to be with them.

I have been clutter-busting this summer, and I have come across so many pictures that I have not yet put into albums; I have them tucked into books and propped up in shelf spaces everywhere. I hope to scan more of these older black and whites; web sites do serve as terrific digital photo keepers because you can tell so much of their story. Many of them are of my dad; I’ve wanted to see him and talk to him in my own way; he died in 1990, but he is still a huge influence in my life. And my kids; every once in a while, they’ll look at one of the pictures and say, “Can you tell me another story about Papa?”

Rosa!

I've been away for a little while, but I'm getting excited about jumping back into the fray. The time away has been refreshing. I love the rhythm you are creating here. There is nourishment for our spirits if we take the necessary rest and sabbath.

The realignment of your writing and work is inspiring to me. I can see the effort that you have put into making this a very special place for people to visit.

Welcome back Tim; you must be gearing up for another school year! I remember our talking about your summer with the family, and judging from the tone of your message it must have been a glorious time. One thing I very dearly miss now, are those years of school and community sports with my kids; playing catch with my son in our driveway during each baseball season was great strength training for me, better than in any gym.

As for MWAC, it has just become all the more special, blessed by your good words – thank you! There is always space for you and your energy in this fray; I’ve kept your place warm.
